Thank you for choosing Gee-Ar-Gee Construction Co., Inc. of Palm Springs, Specializing in all phases of construction and home improvement for California since George Gutierrez founded the construction company back in 1991.
George R Gutierrez was born into the construction business being a 3rd generation general contractor here in the Southern California area with his family owning one of the largest home moving contracting companies in Los Angeles.
George remembers when he was 12 years old and already helping his grandfather and father moving large Victorian homes making way for the new freeway being built in Los Angeles. They would have to lift these giant homes and relocate them. George would help out with setting the foundations along with the remodeling the home and later would handle all phases during his years in the family business.
In 1982, George graduated from James A Garfield High School in Los Angeles, and continued to work in the family business perfecting his craftmanship with finish carpentry, concrete, masonary and started getting into custom and home developement projects throughout Southern California area.
After working in the family business for the past 20 years now married having 4 girls and 3 boys, living the fast paced Los Angeles lifestyle, George decided to pack it all up and move the family to Coachella Valley as it was time to get his own general contractor license for California and in 1991, Gee-Ar-Gee Construction Co., Inc., was founded.
With over 30 years of experience under his belt, one of Gee--Ar-Gee Construction's 1st projects was to build a 1500 sqft cabin replica of a Native American cabin from the 1890's in Palm Springs and is one of his proudest moments.
George has also appeared on the Travel Channel's new reality TV show, Hotel Immpossible" when his company handled the renovations for "The Curves Hotel of Palm Springs" in Season 1 Episode 22. This experience provided Gee-Ar-Gee Construction the foundation needed as a Special Event Contractor as the lead construction team for Coachella's and Stagecoach Music Festivals produced by Goldenvoice Productions.
Now in his 40th plus year of experience, with 6 grandchildren and having over 7000+ projects completed in all phases of construction, George's motto continues to this day:
